As a PCMH our responsibilities inlcude: As a lifelong resident of Henderson, her goal was to come back and serve her local community.
Therefore, she chose to stay here to pursue her post graduate training as well. Immediately after graduation from residency inshe entered private practice here in Henderson. After three years in private group practice, Dr Welborn felt there was something missing.
In caring for the whole patient, mind, body, and spirit, the third aspect of spirituality had been virtually ignored. When inadvertently addressed, she realized these patients saw long term changes in their lives rather than just obtaining symptomatic band-aids from visit to visit.
Hence, Dr Welborn felt compelled to embark on a new journey that led her into solo practice. He has been exposed to various fields of nursing and primarily worked at the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Valley Hospital.
He completed his training hours with Dr. Salcedo, where he was exposed to the welcoming staff dedicated to providing quality care to the patients in the office.
He is excited to carry on the mission and vision set forth by Dr. After which she has pursued her goals to practice medicine in the United States. After residency, she has worked here in Henderson, NV in private practice.
Salcedo now joins Cornerstone Family Practice where she can continue to treat her patients as best as she could. Several years later, she went back to school to obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing due to her love for teaching and educating future nurses.
She has worked several areas of nursing but has been an ob stetrical nurse for the last 16 years at St Rose Hospital, Siena Campus. Jennifer spent over hours training with Dr. Welborn during her nurse practitioner training and was immediately drawn to the faith-based practice and the patients and families she encountered.
Jennifer is excited to be a part of the Cornerstone Family Practice family and is enjoying her journey as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She was drawn to Cornerstone due to its unique approach to patient care and strong Christian values.
She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in and has worked for Cornerstone since She loves working in the medical field and inspires to become an RN so she can continue to help assist patients with their medical needs.
